Full Stack Developer Resume and Interview Guide
Full stack resumes work best when they show real depth on both sides of the stack and the way you connected them in one product.
Skills hiring teams look for
List the ones you have genuinely used, and put the most relevant to the job first.
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- React, Angular or Vue
- A back-end framework (Node.js, Spring, ASP.NET, Django)
- REST and GraphQL API design
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Authentication and authorization
- Git and code review
- Automated testing
- Docker and CI/CD
- Cloud hosting basics
How to write your experience
- Describe features end to end: what the user saw, the API behind it and the data model.
- Say which side you led on each project so the reader can judge your depth.
- Show performance or reliability work, such as caching, query tuning or bundle size.
- List the tools you really use daily rather than every library you have touched.
Interview topics to prepare
- How a request travels from browser to database and back
- Designing a REST API and its error handling
- State management on the front end
- Database schema design and indexing
- Authentication with sessions versus tokens
- How you would debug a slow page
Tailor it to each posting
Read the job description, find the required skills, and make sure each one you genuinely have is easy to find in your summary, skills and recent bullets. Do not add skills you have not used. See the guide: how to tailor your resume to a job description, and the ATS resume checklist.
Put this into practice.
